It is time for a change
I am a lifelong resident of Alachua County, and I care deeply about our community and its future. My priorities are rooted in common-sense values and a commitment to the people who call this county home.
Responsible Budgeting
I believe in returning to responsible budgeting — prioritizing needs first, then wants — with the goal of reducing the overall budget and being good stewards of taxpayer dollars.
Pro Balanced Growth
I believe that we if follow our strategic plan and work together we can have balanced growth all across Alachua County, that benefits all of communities.
Pro Small Town
Alachua County is surrounded by wonderful small towns that deserve attention and support. I believe our current commission focuses too heavily on the college and not enough on the everyday people throughout the county.
Pro Agriculture
I support the farmers of Alachua County. Agriculture is a vital part of our heritage and economy. I believe farmers should be able to work their land without unnecessary interference from county government.
AboutMe
I am a native of Alachua County and have lived in Hawthorne almost my entire life. Over the years, I have watched our commissioners allow the City of Gainesville to increasingly control what happens throughout the county. I have also seen jobs and businesses slowly fade away in Hawthorne and across Eastern Alachua County.
That is why my priorities as your County Commissioner would be:

Safer Roads — Improving road conditions, adding crosswalks, and increasing lighting in our communities.

Economic Development — Encouraging business growth east of Waldo Road, including Hawthorne and Waldo.

Conservative Budgeting — Focusing on core services such as roads, fire services, EMS, and law enforcement.

Better Use of Wild Spaces/Public Places Funds — Ensuring taxpayer dollars are used effectively and benefit the entire county.
